Red Fox Kits -0972
These fox kits were photographed at Iwetemlaykin Park, pronounced (ee-weh-TEMM-lye-kinn), the name is a Nez Perce word and translates to "at the edge of the lake." This particular fox family made regular appearances in April and May along the trails of the park. The playful antics of the kits were especially fun to observe as they began to explore farther from the den. As always, I am humbled by the beauty and diversity of the Wallowa’s.
